2017 Westshore Rebels

The Westshore Rebels is Victoria's only junior football team, a local based program in the CJFL, featuring some of the top recruitments across Canada. At the helm Head Coach Charly Cardilicchia, player turned coach, Cardilicchia brings 19 years of coaching experience to the team. During his time as coach for the Saanich Wolverines Junior Bantam team they secured 12 championships, earning him the life-time achievement award from the Greater Victoria Minor Football Association. He was also the Head Coach of the Junior Bantam Renegades who won the 2016 Provincial Championship. Coach Cardilicchia has volunteered much of his time to football in Victoria over the years and also has 5-years' experience as the Rebels Offensive Coach so he knows what it takes to win. With this visionary, National title is on his mind he is committed to bringing some of the best football to the island!

With the momentum of the 2016 Cullen Cup win, these BC Champs are grinding hard during the 2016 - 2017 offseason to improve the organizations' performance on and off the field. To help build off the positive momentum that was established in the 2016 season, the Rebels brought in several highly qualified and accomplished individuals, while modifying the organizations preexisting core. Welcoming back two- time CJFL coach of the year Shane Beatty as the Rebels Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. This season the Westshore Rebels will be a strong force to be reckoned with.

The 2017 Home opener is Saturday August 19th against the Langley Rams at Langford's own Westhills Stadium.
